Are you talking about a router for sharing your internet connection? To me it sounds more like a router for bridging two LANs, in which case you might be looking for something more specialized. In fact, you may not need a router, only a switch.
All you need to do is put the switch "between" the hubs which connect each respective LAN together. The configuration of the switch would be minimal, whereas with a router (such as a Cisco)you would need to telnet in and add to the routing tables, etc. I am also not too experienced with routers, so I would appreciate some comments on this as well. |
