spyware programs all have trade offs...figure if you run all the free ones you can find AND update them daily you may be about 50% protected...LOL...Windoze will be Windoze...it's like most things you rely on, they are MANUFACTURED to fail you sooner or later, just hope it happens sooner so u might have a valid warranty claim..LOL again.

I sense some confusion in this thread. This isn't the same thing as Microsoft AntiSpyware, which is currently a beta product. The Malicious Software Removal, as the name suggests, is just a tool that's meant to clean up specific widespread worms like Blaster, Sasser etc. Think of it as being similar to some of the specific removal tools that Symantec and other AV software vendors provide on their sites. It's not meant to replace your existing anti-spyware and anti-virus software, both of which hopefully have automatic update mechanisms and realtime monitors running to prevent malware infections rather than dealing with them after-the-fact.
