Default Internet Explorer Crashed ..
Hi guys ..

I was using the computer yesterday when suddenly the Internet Explorer crashed. Not sure what is the cause of it but here's the 2 messages I found under my Event Viewer.

Source: Application Error
Event ID: 1000
Description: Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 6.0.2800.1276, fault address 0x0004dc78.

Source: DrWatson
Event ID: 4097
Description: The application, C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 01/19/2004 @ 23:03:51.640 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 635CDC78 (mshtml)


Any idea what's the cause of this error please? No big deal though .. just out of curiousity. Appreciate any feedback .. thanks!

Did this happen just once or is it happening often? It could be a number of things, but if it hasn't happened since, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Looks like it was just a simple crash. The error occured in mshtml.dll which is IE's HTML rendering engine. There could be some HTML or JavaScript on the page that causes IE to crash, or it could have just been a random crash. Try that same page again and see what happens.

Mine crashes a lot when I go to nascar.com. I have never figured out why because it dont always happen :confused:
