windows installer???WTH?

it weird ... often enough my installation progress goes well..but some app`s i just cant install... it (windows) gives me this error msg:
the windows installer could not be accessed. this camn occur if u are running windows in safe mode, or if the windows installer is not correctly installed... blahblahblah!!! WTH is that stuff lol.. safe mode .. not if i can help it lol .
its not running in safe mode.. but this was installed with windows xp pro no? so HOW? can it not be installed proprely????
this is STupid and confusing...does windows have problems installing it-self now LOL

Have you disabled any services or such? or do you have any of your temp folders set to read-only?

I must say i've been following alot of your problems through this forum cyanide and it seems to me you might seriously consider doing a complete clean format and re-install since alot of your problems seem to be major random errors being caused by XP and not your software

hey, I myself admit it took me 4 clean installs to get XP running sweet smooth and flawless...now that i've jinxed myself who wants to take bets as to when I crash lol

I'm down for $5.00 that it hits before the SuperBowl, even if you don't really need it, lol.

I think a lot of folks are having problems because they'll flash their bios. A clean installation 'may' be required to pick up on these new changes to the basic configuration of the machine.

lol thx Qumahlin & Lonman ... im formatting as i type this hehehe =p and ive been considering reformating and ... what really did it for me was that my restore points were deleted.. when my dad reinstalled winxp...
