I use Active @ Undelete at work.
http://www.active-undelete.com/ Does the job very well indeed. You'll have to pay for it though unless you can get a cr.. *cough* The demo will at least show if you can recover your files. There may be good free utilities available but I can't think of any atm. BTW. ALWAYS backup important files to CD, DVD or another HD as this will always happen when you don't want it to

Do NOT write any data to that drive until you have recovered the files you need.
I cannot emphasize this enough! With that said, there are several data recovery tools that you can try. I'd personally recommend trying GetDataBack (for NTFS). We used it to recover some files on one of the machines at my dad's workplace and it worked wonders. Your mileage may vary though. Thread title edited - always use descriptive titles |
