Programs Not remembering setting?

Hello,
I have had several problems where programs act like i just installed them. asking for information i gave them when originally installed....ideas?

Some files may be Read-Only. Right click the app dir -> properties -> clear the Read-only checkbox..

Some programs will do that too if you log in under different user accounts. You'll have to enter the information for each account.
