Question XP Home & Domains

is it possible to add XP Home to a Windows 2000 Domain or should i be using Professional?

u mean as on a client computer??? erm... no problem u can run WIN XP on a client computer off any OS.

well basically somone i know has bought a PC from pcworld and it came with XP Home and they are having problems adding the computer as a workstation to the windows 2000 server domain. If they where using XP Pro i am pretty sure this wouldnt be an issue

You cannot run XP-home as a client to a Windows 2000 domain or .net domain. Home has the limitation of no Domain membership, and a single processor.

I would upgrade to Professional if you need to add it to a network.
