all right... tried the ram.. one at a time... boot up fine... both freeze when star craft is started up.... then i got these...

so i believe nothing is wrong with my ram... it's software... for ati drivers... i just reinstalled the newest one... i think it was... if you could drop me a link for the newest radeon 9800 pro driver for xp... that would be great too... thanx again for your help...

and another thing... it didn't do this blue screen thing... then it started blue screening the first time... then i fixed it.. and was able to use it for a good period of time... i fixed it.... and it ran fine... then now this... the only thing i did to fix it last time was install windows updates... even after that it doesn't work... i am getting desperate

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

1) uninstall ati driver, reinstall drivers

2) run memtest86 overnight on ONE stick at a time.

Certainly seems a two fold problem from the BSODs.... memory and Graphics driver.
I can vouch for the fact that memory problems can also throw up random unassociated errors as well.

I just googled that driver and from a computer cops forum it had the following info:

Name: SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio
Device ID: PCI\VEN_10B9&DEV_5451&SUBSYS_02211179&REV_02\3&61AAA01&0&30
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\drmk.sys, 5.01.2600.1106 (English), 8/29/2002 04:32:34, 57856 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\portcls.sys, 5.01.2600.1106 (English), 8/29/2002 05:01:00, 134272 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\stream.sys, 5.03.0000.0900 (English), 12/12/2002 03:14:32, 45696 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\System32\wdmaud.drv, 5.01.2600.0000 (English), 8/29/2002 08:00:00, 22016 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\System32\ksuser.dll, 5.03.0000.0900 (English), 12/12/2002 03:14:32, 4096 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\smwdm.sys, 5.12.0001.3542 (English), 1/28/2003 14:32:02, 541376 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\smsens.sys, 5.12.0001.0000 (English), 10/28/2002 14:26:04, 3744 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\aeaudio.sys, 3.00.0002.0026 (English), 1/10/2003 18:51:34, 98912 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\a3d.dll, 4.12.0001.2008 (English), 9/19/2001 17:32:26, 720896 bytes

So are your soundmax drivers corrupted? is D3D corrupted? did the overheat cause problems on your inbuilt soundcard as well or is your whole system overheating?

If so you need to get a more powerful fan in pronto or even something that just blows air into the whole system.
