Question windows media player 9

I usually have no problem watching music videos on launch.com, but after downloading win media player 9 series, no videos load. i've tried uninstalling this media player, doesn't work. i've tried going to windows programs, unchecking it, and re-selecting. doesn't make a difference, it's still there. i'm using winxp. any suggestions?
