Exclamation NTFS Permissions

Does anyone know how to set NTFS permissions in Windows 2000/XP so that a user can modify a file but not delete it? I'm sure I've don this before but cannot do it now.

you will probably need to turn off Simple File Sharing in Tools>Folder Options>Advanced

either that or its the group policy editor

I'm pretty sure you can't do it, AFAIK write permissions give you the ability to delete.
