It changed my Default page for Internet Explorer, and now IE runs like a *****. 100% CPU whilst moving the mouse, and I have an XP 2600+. I'll try rebooting, see how it goes. Called BootConf.exe, put itself in the startup for local machine. And I'm scrolling Port 135 dropped packets. Looks like there's another one out there.

Hello, BootConf.exe is actually part of Datanotary which is spyware installed via a ActiveX control.
http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/datanotary/ Checkout the thread at the top of this section, Spyware Cleaning and Prevention. If your concerned about virus infection run a online scan from http://housecall.antivirus.com/ |

No problem
Drive by spyware is getting more common and in some cases sneaking without any user interaction. As above checkout the Spyware Cleaning and Prevention thread. Two items in particular would have helped stop this from happening 1) Spyware Blaster 2) IESpyAd. You may want to get both of them
