Default Is it common for your firewall to block ips like this.

Check out the pic and see if it's common for a firewall to block this many ips. I get this constaintly and I'm wondering if someone is trying to get in or what. I've been having bad luck with viruses and stuff.

Looks normal to me. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hmm, just checked my Sygate logs and most of the 2000 entries I have are on allowed. You may be hacked, I had a time too that I was constantly hacked and my logs were filled with entries like that (all blocked stuff). Don't worry about it, just be glad you installed a firewall.

When in doubt about being hacked, create a directory called "Porn Collection" and fill it with virus files.

The hits from IP addresses that start like yours are your ISP poking at you. If you have Kazaa, etc. connected you will get loads of hits from its servers scanning for what you have to share.

PS Directory names like "Hacked Games" also work well as a honey pot.

Thought for the new millenium:

In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates?

- Open Office - Firefox - Thunderbird - Gimp -Ubuntu - Red Hat -
