Default Is there a way to open new window in a tabbed window?

Every time I click on a link that is set to open in a new window it opens in a new window like it should, but I want it to open in a new tab. Is there any way to set it to open in a new tab? I couldn't see any option for it ...

Er, are you talking about Mozilla (or one of it's spin-offs)?

If Mozilla or Firebird, right click on the link and tick "open link in new tab". It should work.

Now this is a link on a or in a web page, yes?

Then if you are a "keyboard jockey" go to "edit" -> "preferences". Then in the "category" window (on the left) expand "navigator" (unless it is already expanded) and click "tabbed browsing" and under the heading "open tabs instead of windows" tick the box for "middle-click, control+click or control+enter on links in a web page".

See if that suits you.
