Default 98 Upgrade Question

I have 98 on this comp and want to put 98se on it, but the se disk isnt an upgrade.
How can I install se without wiping the hdd, I still need all the data and settings.

to do a simple upgrade of win98 to win98se, just boot from the 98se cd, go to d: (or whatever drive letter your cdrom takes) and type "setup"

follow the onscreen instructions and there u go, should work fine although I've never tried it myself before - although it worked from win98 (1st edition) to winme

good luck
