windows xp crashed ????
I got windows xp home edition. when I was installing blood rayne (game) my computer rebooted started normally exept for the windows boot screen came up then went to a black screen paused, and displayed blue screen containing
systemroot\system32\config\software or its log alternate it is corupt or absent. then it restarted again and repeats the proccess. I think it is my login screen messed up but dont know how to fix it without reinstalling windows.I also dont understand why it crashed in the middle of installing a game. and then had this error. I only have 1 partition on this cpu and dont want to reformat and loose my stuff. I also have winxp profesional so if all else fails can I upgrade to this without looseing my data and fix the problem? but I realy want to keep the home edition if possible |
