Default google tweak
someone provided me with a manual tweak that would allow me to use google when searching from the address bar
could someone be so kind to give it to me again,i promise i'll write it down this time!

dealer-the option search from address bar by default uses the msn search egine-i wan't it to search google
i think it was but i'm not sure

ah

in that dialogue, you get to pick the search engine.

if google isn't an option, you have to download the reg file from the google site.


I can't find it right now.

also, j79 posted his own reg file that he says works better.

pm him for the file

Thank you i just applied it what a handy thing I use winbar if anyone is familar with it and had my google search box in there but this is even better. Winbar is actually where i found this forum its got a tracker that scrolls the headlines of hte forum quite nice.

I don't know what you mean by manual, #2 on that page is the actual reg file, the batch file just automates it.
