Default accessing folders permission

im on a network and i have the 2 hard drives from my pc downstairs shared. when i want to access my user folder, it says i dont have the "permission to use this network resource".
what setting do i tweak in the downstairs pc in order to let me access the folder?

Well... I am assuming that your PC downstairs is Windows XP and you do not have an administrator password set. Right? Windows XP does not allow sharing if there is a blank admin password. Give that a try.

i dont understand what u mean...its a win xp pc, and there are passwords for all the users.

you are on NTFS obviously, right click the folder and choose Security, you have to add that user since the profiles are only accessable to administrators and that user profile by default.
