kazaa lite bandwith problem. . .
I never had this problem w/ an older version of kazaa (i am currently using the newest final edition) thanks, p |

i havent had any problems like that with the final version.. but you could always try and re-install it.. see if that helps at all.. but when you install it again, get it to remove all registry keys of kazaa lite (the past versions etc.)

kazaa lite
Well,
It was a completely fress install since I had just reformatted a few days ago. I download 2.03 (final) I uninstalled it and tried 2.02. . . still have the same problem. . . What it is, to be clear, the files available for download have a max bandwith of 64, no matter how many different searches I've done. .. p |

It is set to unlimited. . .that has to do w/ me transfering files, not receiving them. . .
Now the maximum bandwith has gone up to 321. . . I have done search for common files (several different) such as britney spears, nelly, etc. just to check bandwith. . .I usually would get tons of hits from 1000 to 25000 or so. . .this is weird. . . Anyways, I seem to have been getting problems no one else has heard of lately and it's driving me nuts. . . p |

My dad had the a similar problem yesterday, KaZaA Lite said they were was only 9 users on line sharing 356 files instead of the usual 5million users....

Kazaa 2 is evil
 . Aside from switching the downloading to port 80 (the same port you do internet browsing on, and since kazaa is a massive bandwidth hog, it kills internet connections because of all the traffic it can cause), they also implemented some stupid participation rating thing. The more you serve out files on Kazaa, the higher your participation rating gets and the better access you get to higher bandwidth files. If you don't share, your participation rate drops and you can't download as well. (I could be wrong about this, but this is what I've seen/heard.)
