Arrow Tip: Disable New Windows (Mozilla)

Hopefully someone else will find this usefull, because I know I did.
If your the same as me and HATE it when a link opens a new window for you, you can stop this by adding this line to your prefs.js file.

user_pref("browser.block.target_new_window", true);

Once done, you can test it by clicking the sponsor banner at the top of this page

(If you dont know where prefs.js is, its located at C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\random.slt\prefs.js)

Does it then open in the current window or open another tab?

Arrow

It'll just open in the same window

Personally i hate it when people make links open in a new window. If i want a new window (or tab ) i'll open it myself!

I don't like new windows but would prefer a tab. A lot of times I click the link then use that window to do something else.

I like the Jewelzz option, you can do it with the tabbrowser extension from this page.
