Default NTLDR missing on bootup?

I made a bootable cd, but when I boot it up, it says that NTLDR is missing, so it don't boot the cd, it comes back into windows?

Why???

P.S. I didn't know where to post, so I posted here.

Try this: -

www.geocities.com/jmk2141/WinXP/NTLDRfix.zip

This problem normally shows it’s ugly face after an upgrade from win 98 to XP. You can normally fix it by going into the recovery consul, logging on to your boot CD and typing “fixboot” after reading the help associated with this topic, however you will not be able to do this as the burner software drivers will not be loaded, there is a way of doing this but unless you already know how it’s done it’s easier to use either the utility supplied by Microsoft last year for creating a set of “bootable” floppies (but on CD), or use google to search the web as there is masses of info on how to correct this specific issue with both XP and 2000.
