Messenger Service

Occasionally, i'll get a pop-up window, without visiting a page that has "messenger service" in the title, and the msg. will be some random thing like:

Message from ALICIA to 24.242.74.110 on 1/24/2003 4:08:15PM

HOT Married women! At home, lonely. These women are FOR REAL! Go to our website now to be hooked up. http://marriedchicks.cjb.net

OK<--(button)

or

"Make $500-$1500 per week...."

i get at least one of these a day. how can i make them stop?

Hi Ben,

To stop the popup messages in xp,right click on my computer and select Manage, then select Services and applications, then services, and scroll down to Messenger, double click on messenger and select disable.....this will stop those annoying popups in Wndows Messenger.

Messenger in services is nothing to do with Windows Messenger
