but Dubbin1 said unchecking it in msconfig didnt work :/ Like Andy_Rose said... I think theres an option in the Realplayer - I dont know about the new version, but I had RP8+ and it was in the options/preferences - something about startup settings or something good luck |

Actually getting rid of the peace of garbage is the best way ... All seriousness though, Doing it in the preferences of Real player will do it - If that don't get a Start up manager and delete the startup that way ...

You can delete it from the registry, uncheck it in msconfig, delete it using a startup manager, but it keeps on ticking......
Seriously, I uninstalled the whole thing after getting so pissed off with how it regenerates itself in the startup process. It's got to be a piece of sh** if it won't allow you to set options that will stick. |

I have to agree with you Burpster, it is a heap of junk, full of general errrors and Script errors and their support have lost interest in finding out whats doing it.
My only regret was in buying it, they might get lucky one day and actually get it to work properly

I use Real Player 8, and all I had to do to never see Real Player again unless i open it was go to View->Preferences->General Tab->Settings and uncheck "Enable Startcenter"
Never had to mess w/ msconfig, control panel, registry, or anything else. Never had load itself after disabling and never had it do anything unusual.... |
