Default Trying to Open Folders Opens Search Instead

When Using Windows Explorer......

when I double click on a folder in the right hand side, it opens up search instead. (opening folders on left side works fine) If I right click, select open, it will open the folders in the right side. But I like to double-click.

I have no idea how to correct this one..........

Thanks

Default

Start Registry Editor (Regedit).
Locate and then click the Default value under the following keys in the registry

if this problem occurs with drives:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell

If this problem occurs with folders:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

Click Modify on the Edit menu.
Type none in the Value data box, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.
