email notification in outlook

I have the email notification in Microsoft Outlook turned on. I think there is supposed to be an envelope in the task bar when I get a new email, but it does not appear. I am getting my emails in outlook (from hotmail), but I just can't figure out how to get the notification to work. I just started using outlook, so this is probably something stupid.

have a look at mailbell (www.emtec.com)

or try this:
extra->options
look for the option check every ... minutes and especially the dropbox about connecting
(translated from dutch, so names maybe wrong)

That should do it

You may want to make sure that your systray is not hiding the icon.

I don't have any icons hidden in the systray

Goto Tools>Options>Email Options(Button)>Advanced Email Options(Button)>Check "Show an envelope icon in the system tray" under the subheading 'When new items arrive'.

That should fix you up. Hope that helps!
