I have just bought pinnacle, but in the manual it says before using go into task manager and shut down everything apart from explorer and sys tray.

Sys tray does not come up, a lot of things come up under system.

could some one tell me which one it would be.

I have a Packard bell running XP home.

its just telling you to close any running programs ....just install it i doubt you will have a problem ... happy video editing
