>>Don't know why, but with my 2k machine I can not get it to take a shot of my screen, maybe I'm doing it wrong. I thought it was F11, or F10 then paste to mspaint. I got it to work once, then for months it would only show the same desktop when I pasted now it won't even paste WTF, ps Now it's doing the same thing for XP<<:confused:

there's quite a few free programs that will do it for you
here's one of them
Screen Capture Utility

Default dos, print screen and xp

Anyone tried to Print Screen from a full-screen DOS application in graphics mode under XP?

I know that DOS is emulated in XP, and that might be the porblem... I've tried PrintScrn (next to F12) and then pasting outside DOS, HyperSnap-DX 5, Snag-it, etc..

Anyone who could help - very much appreciated.

Thanx, TwoZigzagColt45

I gave it a try... the thing is, it's a running QBasic program, loaded by QB.EXE (old language - don't laugh) that I want to capture, rather than the executable itself, so I think there's still a problem. It's odd, because I used to be able to do this - no problem - under Win9x using PrintScrn key.

Anyway, thanks again for the suggestion

Use printkey for various ways to capture desktops and websites and its free. Just download the program do not download gozilla.
