Unhappy Media Player?

Hi I have xp pro installed and media player version 8.

When i try to play a video file or an DVL Xvid format film I just get audio. I have installed the divx bundle 502 but still no joy.

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers Scott

If it is in XVid format you need the XVid codecs. I think you can get them in the Nimo Codec Pack. Just be warned that I have heard of problems with the Nimo pack. Try searching google for just XVid Codecs and you might be able to find them without having to install the Nimo pack.

Sound sync problem is very common in Xvid encoded films.

all except
FFDSHOW (try to download newer version)
TFM Audio filter

Subtitle picture decoder
Logo for virtual dub
Subtitler direct show
Bicubic resizer
Moonlight scalar filters
Morgan multimedia stream switcher
