Default "Attempt to connect to local computer using the Netspy Trojan horse blocked"

Not sure this goes here but Norton Personal Firewall 2002 is flipping out on me.

about every 5 seconds it is giving me the same warning.

"Attempt to connect to local computer using the Netspy Trojan horse blocked"

googled it and found another forum post on it with 2003 norton anti.

They suggested use spybot (updated) adaware 6.0

no luck with the problem.

they also pointed this out http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp...&notFound=true

But the work around doesnt do anything for personal firewall 2002.

Any suggestions?

my suggestion would be too dump norton and get a proper firewall

1. Sygate pro - http://smb.sygate.com/products/spf_pro.htm
2. Agitum Outpost - http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/
3. Zone Alarm - http://www.zonelabs.com/
4. Kerio - http://www.kerio.com/us/kpf_home.html

norton is a joke too prove that just try this little test

I agree with -Kc-.

any one of the other firewalls mentioned by KC are great. I would go with sygate. then outpost,

Why worry about it, your firewall is doings it's job if it is blocking it. :-)

Had that couple of weeks ago, think it's a mistake by NIS that is all!

Something to do with the 'fax' service.
