TClock can change it for you or you can hack explorer.exe using Resource Hacker.

So you don't believe me? This "microsoft windows xp professional" written sideways is bitmap resource #167 in explorer.exe. You can change it with a recource editor like Resource Hacker. There are tutorials how to replace systemfiles on the net. You can use third party applications like TClock. There are also some others I believe. If you want to completely remove this side bitmap you can rightclick taskbar>properties>startmenu>customize - use small icons. No more bitmap but small icons. |
