Solution: "Replace the shell32.dll file" the one that is found at this path - "C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386" and delete the other two under "system32" and "system32\dllcache". Restart your computer, ahhh there it is! the good old days are back! prinsipe |

great! thanks for the heads up, I haven't actually installed the SP1 because I'm not even using WinXP atm (which is why I haven't been terribly active on the boards this summer), long story but I should be back up and running in the next few weeks.
