I want to shorten the time period because I often connect my work laptop (running Windows NT 4.0) to my home network and I have to release the lease on the current IP address before it will work at work. I already tried to add a batch file to my work laptop to release the lease, however, since I am only a user on my laptop, I do not have sufficient permissions on my laptop to release the ip address unless I log in as an administrator. |

DHCP lease is determined by the DHCP server, not the client.
