Default Popup Balloons
Anyone know the tweak to reenable those yellow popup balloons?

The one you see when you first install XP and it tells you to take the tour

(and can you change that colour?)

Use XP Powertoys (TweakUI) to re-enable balloons, in the Taskbar section.
Is this what you wanted ?

Open regedit and navigate to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVerson\Explorer\Advanced]

Set the DWORD value "EnableBalloonTips" to "1" (without the quotes!) to enable it.

dang and all along I thought to show pop-up descriptions(ie balloons) for folder and desktop items - ya did it this way:


Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Folder Options.
On the View tab, select the Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items check box.

Guess I have been doing things the hard way all along - I should have done it through the registry or another progam!
