Default Weird problem number 2.

I've had it with this computer ****...

ok... anyone came accross one day when when you click a "file", simple as that, your explorer shuts down ?

I scanned, no viruses, nor did I do anything to put viruses on the machine... Just installed the stuff and problems came to my face....

You click on the file, and then, the explorer shuts down.

Okay, standard questions - sorry:

1) From your post it seems that everything was fine one day and not the next. Did you do anything in between (tweaks, new s/w, new hw, etc)?

2) Have you checked out the event log for errors (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - event viewer)?

3) Look in msconfig and see what's starting - anything unusual?

4) You can disable everything from msconfig and basically do a selective startup and see if the problem still exists. If so, you may have to do a repair install and / or a complete reinstall. If the problem is not there on a clean boot (selective startup), start adding things back one at a time until the problem recurs. Then you'll have identified the culprit.

Could be something that is solved with the right patch
Have you got all the latest updates ???
I highly recommend downloading & installing BigFix

http://www.bigfix.com/website/index.html

This will inform you & download any patches your system may need.
such as
Application Compatibility Update Q313484
XP Compatability Updates Q319580
and so on

Tried everything... None worked...

Maybe comes from converting fat to NTFS...
