Default Permission denied

Hi
I just installed WinXP and I wanted to capture some video files from my dv device to the harddisk with my fast.forward software. (dv.now, dazzle) But Windows says, that I don't have permission to write on the harddisk. I'm the admin user and under normal windows I can create and delete as many files I wan't. What's wrong?
Thanks for helping me!

Are you using XP Pro or Home?
In XP Pro if you are the Administrator and are having trouble writting to a specific folder running NTFS - try taking ownership of the folder and remove the "Inherite permissions" option from the folder also.

Ok, ok. I finally solved the mistery! Fast has a weird product and so I had to create a directory with the name "--Pool--". That's where the program saves all the footage data.
But thanks for your help guys, fluppel
