opening windows medias player-- the player opens and then immediatly closes again virus checked its all ok wont let me uninstall or re-install

Have you tried reinstalling media player. That is the only suggestion I've got

yes thanks the only way after hours of trying verious options was to do a repair of xp nowt else worked but after the repair everything is ok again
