When I initially startup my computer or reboot, windows explorer locks up on me. I have to manually go into task manager and end the task. Nothing appears to be under my startup folder. Any and all help is much appreciated. AP10 |

Are you saying that windows explorer opens when you boot up? If so have you exited eplorer before rebooting?

Thank you for the welcome.
No, I do not have windows explorer open before rebooting. When XP starts the center of my screen is frozen. When I enter task manager it says the only application currently running is explorer. I then 'end task' and the frozen pain is gone. I'm baffled as to why 'explorer' would even be running on the initial XP startup/reboot and why it would be freezing at that. AP10 |
