Default XP Pro restart
I've got a problem with one of my PC (all running XP PRO).When I either restart or shut down the system on the logoff screen showed 'windows is saving settings' but there have been many times it freezes...there are no way to shut it off other than to turn off the power.Upon turning it on again....it will automatically start.Any idea anyone ??
The system is
NEC Valuestar
W/less keyboard
667 Mhz P III
20Gb
The other PC so far no problem and had never crashed but of different maker.

I used to get the same problem before in my older PC and it was due to drivers on one of my devices... I forget which... I dunno if its the same thing with you...

I just updated all my drivers and let her rip and she shutdown ok since then...

not guaranteed to work.. but solved my problems
