How can I determine if Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Professional Corporate is running?

If you activated ... its Professional.
If you didn't have to activate ... it's Corporate

There's also a way to find out from the Product ID ...

right click on my computer and click properties. It's in the general tab under "System:"

Its shows Windows XP Professional even if you are using a corporate version ... so you can't really find out that way.
