This one's been mentioned several times in this forum, but I still can't get things to behave themselves. I just want my folders to maintain their own views when I close them, but I frequently find them having changed when I visit them at various times. The one that annoys me the most is when I visit the Control Panel, and always have to change it! The "Remember each folder's view settings" option is checked always, so I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'll set up the required view, only to find that it has later changed. Help! |

Should I really need to go poking around inside the registry in order to resolve such a problem?
The link mentions two methods - do they both work? I don't fancy the idea of deleting bits from the registry by hand, as I wouldn't know if I was deleting the right stuff in the first place. |
