DVD Driver
Since upgrading to XP my DVD drive has experienced problems, in that although it reads CD Rom's correctly, it does not play DVD's. The DVD is a Mat****a-SR 8586 and I am using Power DVD XP software. If anyone can tell me where I can find a suitable driver, (assuming that is the problem!), I would be very grateful. Cheers |

When you hover over the icon does it call it a DVD player or just CD player.
My pc used to just recognize it as a cd player and no burning software would recognize it. If so (i.e. you have multiple drives) go in to the control panel and un the lot. Get it then to check for new hardware and it should re-install them as their correct identities. That fixed my problem as it now see's it as a DVDR/RW. If it is something else, try a firmware update..... |
