Default network password help plz.

Hi. I am new to XP and I have a following problem.
I've successfully found the setting that changes simple file sharing to advanced so now I can finally set permissions and who gets what. But how to set an individual passwords for people on my LAN, passwords for folders and etc.?

Also my friend is unable to get in folders I've shared, they have only read setting on, change or full control off, but he tells me that it asks him for a password. I've never set any password for these folders.

So thanks for your time and attention, I'll be waiting for you answers.

K.

create accounts on both machines... same name, same password and set him up on it. You don't have to log into it.
