Unhappy Help & Support

In XP Pro my start menu item for Help no longer works, clicking it provokes some disk activity, but thats all. It used to work, so what have I done? Help!

some registry cleaning programs have been known to render help and support useless.

Spot on Lonman!
I recently used Easy Cleaner. However it does create an undo file, and following your message I undid it.
Hey Presto! Help now runs.
Thanx

hehe, easy cleaner looks for dead registry entries, and yes it does render it useless cause some of the entries dont point at anything. Stupid M$ decided to do taht on purpose so that when people use proggies like that they wont be able to use help and support.

You can still use easy cleaner. All you do is type 'help' in the skip box & all is ok. There are four help references that are deleted if you don't use the skip box.
