Default Adding to the right-click menu...

Hi,

I was wondering how I would go about creating a new menu item inside the right-click menu of a folder. I want to be able to create an already named folder that I can just click and it will create it. Like when you click the "New>Folder" option it creates a folder called New Folder. I wanna add a folder called "Compressed" directly above the "Folder" option in "New>Folder". So when I click "Compressed" it creates a folder called Compressed.

Thanks,
Jason

TweakUI in Powertoys from Microsoft will let you do that under templates.

You can get that here Powertoys

Have fun

Default Hmm..

All templates does is allow me to add/remove specific file types from the "New" menu.

I'm trying to add a menu item to the "New" menu called "Compressed" which creates a new folder already named Compressed when clicked from the menu.

TweakUI doesn't allow you to name the files it adds under templates (at least not from what I can see). They're all still called "New Text Document", "New Folder", "New Winamp Media File" etc. when they're initially created.

Basically I want two menu items, one that creates a folder called "New Folder" and one that creates a folder called "Compressed".

Sorry if I'm getting too technical, I think my first post explained it more clearly.

Thanks again,
Jason

I understand what your talking about, the problem is I've never heard or seen a program or a "tweak" that will do it, the only program I've seen and used that "might" come close is a send to add on that put's more options on the send to menu, but that doesn't sound like what you want.

I've searched everywhere for something to help you, and am completely stumped, sorry I couldn't help you.

Good Luck

Maybe someone out there knows how to though. I can't imagine it's that hard through the registry, but what do I know .

I am not sure but I think that X-Setup from http://www.xteq.com will let you add new things to the templates, I am not sure though.
