Some people would like to know what is causing their computer crashes but do not understand how to use the Microsoft Debugging tools and/or how to read the results.
Today I stumbled upon a software utility that will read the minidump and show what was loaded when the crash occured. It will also list what driver(s) or module(s) are most likely the cause of the crash.
I did not have a minidump to test with so I used the minidump that Perris posted in the thread located here.
On that file I had used the Microsoft Debugger and the result had been that bcmwl6.sys was most likely the crash reason. As you can see in the image, BlueScreenView came up with the same result.
You can also change the view to just show what driver caused the crash or show the crash in blue screen mode like the crash screen did. Other options include HTML view of the driver that crashed the PC.
