What is the difference between these, other than obvious bit thing. Why can't vista have the IE764bit as a selection in the start menu properties? Heeter |

There's an open bug at sun for a 64-bit java plugin thats unresolved for over 5 years now. There is no flash or acrobat reader support either. On linux you can use the nspluginwrapper to load flash and acrobat and it works [mostly]. There is the icedtea plugin for java which is 64-bit and about 50% reliable. I don't think there are any workarounds for 32 bit plugins to work on a 64 bit windows browser, but I could be wrong.
Basically no proprietary support for 64-bit ATM. |
