Not sure why they bothered with an article like that. I'm pretty sure anything on XP runs faster than on Win7 RTM since the OS is feather-weight compared to Win7.
If it were about Vista vs win7, then that would be interesting. lol

Fwiw, those benchmarks on most of the websites are pretty bogus.

Real-world experience stands for a lot and, in my case, Win 7 x64 has been pretty speedy. Chrome has been diabolically fast especially and I am thinking of finally giving Safari a twirl.

I agree with Sazar. I run Win 7 64 and XP SP3 32 and Win7 IE loads much faster for me. Every setup is different and those test cannot match real world performance [so many PC variations].
