 Of course, not all the updates will be relevent to your system, but it can't hurt having them all anyway right? There was also a newer version of the Malicious Software Removal tool which was already released this month on the scheduled patch tuesday (the second of the month) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2492386) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2506928) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2515325) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2522422) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB982018) Not all the links above are currently live but I am sure they will be in due course. So that's what was going on. Thanks explaining what was going on. Every time I shut down or booted up the updating would hold me up. Annoying. I was afraid there had been some security issues.
