Default css menu help

i did a css menu following a tanfa.co.uk tutorial, but for one of the submenus it doesnt disappear after mouseover in ie

this is how to recreate the problem:
mouseover for job seekers
mouseover resume writing
mouseover any of the new menu items, then mouse off the entire menu.
mouseover for job seekers again - an ugly empty menu appears to the right

the ugly menu can be removed by mouseovering resume writing then any of the links on the resume writing menu, then mouseoff the menu.

this problem does not surface in firefox. unfortunately, this website has to be IE friendly.

i am using IE7beta
