Zone alarm pro

I have just upgraded to Zonealarm pro. Can anyone tell me the best way to set this up as i am constantly closing down the pop up messages and playing with it , although i 'm not 100% sure exactly what every thing does.

I loved za before they "upgraded it"..now it's a piece of sh**, and I switched to tiny

I forgot the gui, as I don't use it anymore, but there is in preferances somewhere, an option to not give you tips...try to find that
