i was looking at ram for my pc and when i stumbbled on this i got pretty pissed off. it says that if u use three sticks of pc 2700 your ram will run at 266mhz. why is that... to compansate for power used from the psu? is this only for crucial ram? if it isnt is there any way to get around that and run at 333mhz?

here is a link to the site, its at the bottom right in red followed by the black text

all DDR ram runs slower the more of it you put in, thats why its better to buy one big chip.

just sell your ram on ebay :p and go buy a bigass stick of ocz's 3200 which runs at 466 - 233x2 (yes there 3200 ram goes that much out of spec) crucial isn't that great in my opinion there over priced and lack performance.

    Re: if i remmber right

unless you overclock, no not really. unless you get some low-latency ram so you can tweak the ram timings in your bios. you'll get maybe 5% increase in performance, at the most.
